Raids Checklist for FFXIV Free Trial

There are currently 74 Raids available in the FFXIV Free Trial.
A Raid is an instanced duty, similar to both dungeons and trials. Some are long like dungeons, featuring many bosses and enemies. Others may just offer a single boss. A Normal Raid requires a full 8 player party, and Alliance Raids require 3 full parties, for a total of 24 players.
Raids are unlocked solely from Content Unlock Quests (Blue Quests). While most of these are optional, the first three, the Crystal Tower series, are required to progress the story.
Raids have both Minimum Level and Item Level requirements which you must meet before entering. They also have a Max Level. If a player is above the maximum they will be Synced down to the appropriate levels.
With the settings found at the top of the Duty Finder menu, it’s possible to run raids as an Undersized Party and Unsynced. This means that you’ll be able to run instances solo, if preferred, and without lowering your Levels. There’s other settings such as Minimum IL which let you do duties at the lowest stats possible, for more of a challenge.
For the Coils of Bahamut, and all of the Savage raids, it’s recommended to either look for a Party Finder listing, or search for a party in Discord. Duty Finder is usually empty for these.
Despite having access to Stormblood, Ultimate Raids are unavailable for Free Trial players.
